What’s The Difference Between Indica and Sativa?

Cannabis is an intriguing plant because there’s all kinds of different strains. There’s some Indica which is for those who like to enjoy the heavy high. And, some Sativa for those who like the light high and still want to go on with their day without feeling lazy.

Many people smoke any kind as long as it does the job; get them high. Personally, I always used to smoke Indica. Until I realized the difference between Indica qualities and Sativa’s qualities.

Medical Indica Strain Qualities

The Indica strain is known to increase your appetite, optimize mental relaxation and reduce acute pain. It also increases dopamine, which is a neurotransmitter that helps regulate movements, attention, emotional responses, learning and empowers us to see and move towards rewards.

You can tell the difference between Indica and Sativa just by looking at the plant. Indica plants grow faster yet their shorter. They blossom into a bushy plant with vast leaves. There’s also the fact that Indica plants grow a higher yield than Sativa plants.

Overall, Indica is better use for night time. It’s always good to have some Indica when you have trouble sleeping! Here’s a picture below so you could see how gorgeous the plant looks.

Medical Sativa Strain Qualities

The Sativa strain is known to increase your creativity and focus. It also helps with anxiety, stress and depression. It can increase serotonin, which helps modulate social behavior, sleep, memory, sexual desire, appetite, function and digestion. The Sativa strain is also believed that it can treat chronic pain.

You can recognize Sativa plants by their narrow leaves. They grow thin and tall and have a glorious lighter shade of green. Sativa plants demand more light and they take longer to mature and grow.

In conclusion, I believe Sativa is more for day time use. You can simply smoke a nice joint early in the morning and still go on with your day and be creative while you’re at it!
